## UK late-payment chaser (statutory interest + polite escalation) Chases overdue B2B invoices on UK working days and works out what you can legally claim under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998: Bank of England base rate + 8%, simple daily interest, plus £40 / £70 / £100 fixed compensation. ### How it works 1. Runs every weekday at 09:00 (or manually) and skips weekends and UK bank holidays (gov.uk feed). 2. Pulls the BoE base-rate history and picks the rate for each debt's correct reference date (31 Dec or 30 Jun). 3. Reads your invoices from an n8n Data table (no Google login needed). On first run it creates the table and loads 9 demo invoices. 4. Works out days overdue, interest, compensation and the reminder level (1 = friendly, 2 = interest notice, 3 = final notice). 5. Writes a draft of each reminder into the table. Real emails go out only if you set send_mode to send. 6. Saves the reminder level, so a re-run never sends the same level twice. ### Setup 1. Open Config: add your business name, sender name, from-address and payment instructions. 2. Run once. Check the drafts in the late_payment_invoices table. Replace the demo rows with your own invoices and set load_demo_data to false. 3. Only when you are happy: add SMTP credentials to Send reminder email and set send_mode to send. ### Customization Change stage2_days / stage3_days, edit wording in Compose reminder, or swap the Data table for Google Sheets or Airtable.
