Content Writing & Generation

Post new blog articles to social media using RSS, OpenAI and Orshot

When a new RSS item is published, it writes content with OpenAI / ChatGPT using Orshot, Google Sheets, RSS.

What it does

## Automate social media posts from new blog articles For content teams, founders and agencies who publish a blog and want every new article on Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook without designing a graphic each time. ### How it works 1. The RSS trigger picks up each new article in your feed. 2. OpenAI writes a card headline, a one-line excerpt and a caption for each platform. 3. Orshot renders a 4:5 branded card with the featured image, headline and your handle. If the render fails, nothing is posted. 4. The card is posted to each platform with its own caption. 5. Every article is logged in Google Sheets with post links, the image URL and any errors. ### Setup 1. Get an Orshot API key at https://orshot.com (the free plan includes 100 credits a month). 2. Add the example template (https://orshot.com/templates/991) to your Orshot workspace and pick it in Render social card. 3. Connect your social accounts in Orshot and pick one in each Post to step. 4. Set your feed URL in New blog post and your handle in Map post fields. 5. Add OpenAI and Google Sheets credentials and create a sheet with the columns listed in Log to Google Sheets. ### Customization tips - Turn on Save as Draft in a publish step to review posts first. - Edit the template in Orshot to match your brand colors and fonts.
